Do I need travel insurance for a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)?

Travel insurance is not required for a TDAC. However, we recommend getting travel insurance with medical coverage as financial protection in case of unexpected circumstances.

Do Indians need a visa to visit Thailand?

Indian passport holders enjoy visa-free travel to Thailand. However, all visitors must fill the online Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) at least 3 days before arrival for faster immigration clearance.

Who must submit a TDAC?

All non-Thai nationals must submit the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering Thailand, except those transiting without immigration clearance or entering with a Border Pass. It simplifies entry and speeds up immigration clearance.

How will I know if my Thailand Digital Arrival Card is approved?

Applicants can track the status of their applications on ‘My Trips’. Updates will be displayed in real-time once the visa is processed. You’ll also receive email notifications for any status changes or additional document requests.

What is a TDAC?

TDAC is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card—an online form required for foreigners entering Thailand. It collects essential travel and personal details for immigration clearance. Submitting it online ensures a quicker, paperless entry process at Thai airports.

Where do I have to send my passport & TDAC application?

The TDAC application for Thailand is a completely online process. You do not need to send your passport physically or visit an embassy. Simply fill out the form, upload the required details, and submit it from anywhere.

If I have multiple hotel and flight bookings for my trip to Thailand, do I need to include all of them in the DAC application form?

No, you only need to mention one hotel name and the flight number you plan to use to enter Thailand in your DAC application.

Do children need to apply for TDAC?

All travellers have to apply for TDAC, including children. Parents or guardians can complete the form for minors. Each traveller must have an approved TDAC for smooth entry into Thailand.

I am visiting multiple countries before arriving in Thailand. Am I eligible for TDAC?

Yes, all Indian citizens are eligible for TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) for stays in Thailand of up to 60 days, regardless of their travel route. You can indicate your country of departure in the TDAC application form — it does not need to be your home country.

Can I extend my visa-free stay in Thailand?

Yes, if you’re visiting Thailand visa-free, you can usually stay for up to 60 days. This can be extended once for an additional 30 days, at the discretion of the immigration officer. It is recommended to apply for the appropriate visa such as a tourist/business e-visa before traveling, if you have a planned stay of beyond 60 days.
