Do Indians need a visa to visit Hong Kong?
Indian passport holders need an e-Visa for stays of more than 14 days and a Pre-arrival Registration (PAR) for stays of 14 days or less. Both must be applied for online before departure to ensure smooth entry into Hong Kong.
Do I need travel insurance for a Hong Kong PAR?
Travel insurance is not mandatory. However, we recommend getting travel insurance with medical coverage as financial protection in case of unexpected circumstances.
Can I extend my Hong Kong PAR?
To extend a stay beyond 14 days, an online application must be submitted at least 3 days before the permitted stay period ends. Contact the GPTV visa consultant for further information.

All visitors with a PAR must carry a printout of the signed PAR Notification Slip. Without this, they will not be permitted to board the flight/cruise to Hong Kong.
What do you mean by Pre-arrival Registration (PAR)?
Applicants planning to stay less than 14 days enjoy visa-free travel to Hong Kong. However, these applicants must fill in an online Pre-arrival Registration Form at least 5 days before their planned date of travel.
They must get a printed copy of their PAR notification slip. Without this slip, they will not be permitted to board the flight/cruise to Hong Kong.
What is the validity period of the Hong Kong PAR?
- It is valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
- Within these 6 months, visitors can make multiple visits to Hong Kong and stay for a maximum of 14 days in each visit.
- If you have a new passport, then you must reapply for a PAR.
